the Book Corner, established in September 2015 provides prescribed text and workbooks to learners at schools in Strand, Somerset West, Gordons Bay and Stellenbosch areas and is affiliated with all the major publishers throughout South Africa. The bookshops are situated on the premises of Strand High School, Mondeor Eco School and Madrasatur Rajaa Strand High School and provides a delivery service to other schools in the vicinity.
Business hours vary at the various schools and pending on peak periods. The bookshops are not open on public holidays and during the school holidays.

NEW PRESCRIBED TEXT- AND WORKBOOKS
the Book Corner provides new hand- and workbooks to mainly Strand High School, Mondeor Eco School, Madrasatur Rajaa Strand High School, Stellenbosch Waldorf School and Kids Academy Strand, as prescribed by the schools but also to other schools in Helderberg area
SECOND HAND TEXTBOOKS
As per the various schools policy and procedures, the learners have to return their books. The bookstore refund the parents for these books. Only books that are prescribed for the following year are bought back. Books from other schools are accepted on a consignment stock system where the Book Corner advertises and sell these books on your behalf.
e-BOOKS
All prescribed e-books can be ordered from the Book Corner by dropping us an e-mail.
ADMINISTRATION OF DEPARTMENTAL (WCED) BOOKS
the Book Corner administers the books provided by the Department of Education (WCED books). These books are the property of the school and have to be returned to the school at the end of each year.
ENGINEERING GRAPHICS AND DESIGN EQUIPMENT
A big variety, high quality Engineering Graphics and Design equipment are available at the bookshop. These can be bought as a complete kit that includes all the equipment required by the schools or can be bought separately. Equipment include high quality drawing boards, bags, compasses, stencils, clutch pencils, lead etc from various suppliers.
STUDY AND EXAMINATION GUIDES
the Book Corner provides a wide range of study and examination guides which will assist learners in their preparation for examinations and during studying. Items not in stock can be ordered and delivered within a short time.
STATIONERY
Back-to-school and day-to-day replacement stationery are supplied by the Book Corner at competitive prices as well as high quality book covers. Orders are placed with the textbook orders. Additional stationery can be purchased during the year.
COVERING OF BOOKS
The bookshop provides a service to cover all handbooks and scripts at year end. Books are protected with board paper and covered with a high quality PVC. This method also ensure that books are returned in a better condition and therefore ensures the longevity and higher credit to the parent at year end.
COPY, PRINTING AND BINDING OF DOCUMENTS
A copying, printing, binding and laminating service is available for learners at the Book Corner at reasonable prices. Learners can e-mail their assignments and receive it back, printed and professionally binded with covers of their choice.
